Warning! Dangerous Cuteye

The Honourable Claris Charles, our venerable Education and Labour Minister.

Say what you like but Ms Charles knows how to sling it rough to the fellas across the Parlimentary floor. My favorite so far from her in the Budget Debate 2005?
Regarding our human resource development, she pointed out that
"Grenada does not have natural resources. We do not have oil or gas or mineral deposits.... [As a listener I am surprised to hear this. Minister Charles' colleague - Minister of Energy Bowen - has spent ages convincing all of us that we DO have to start drilling for oil! Then she says..]
...yet! "
HaaaaaHaa! I shrieked with laughter. That's my girl! No one can say she hasn't got great comic timing.

As soon as I pore over the transcript of the Budget I'll have a few more favourites. Such as when she volunteered her services as a union representative for the opposition. She promised to fight ardently for better wages and working conditions for them. Her tongue was so far embedded in her cheek that she must have given herself a jaw cramp.
